We offer lectures on photography, individual practices and activities which are held in carefully selected locations, indoors and outdoors, in Ostróda and its vicinity.

Course programme:
Lectures – Friday 7 pm – 8 pm

1. Photographic cameras – familiarizing with the participants’  equipment and/or helping to select the equipment (which camera to buy and why)
2. Lens – their types and application
3. Support stand – the photographer’s best friend
4. Tools and accessories – lamps, filters, bags, blends, etc.
5. Basic principles of operation – lens shutter, gobo, ISO, cropping, photo formats

Practical classes – Saturday 11 am – 2 pm

1. Practical operation of the equipment – exercises:

• Gobo and focus
• Time
• ISO
• Manual focus and auto focus
• Light measurement – principles and tricks
• Manual programmes, semi-automatic programmes and automatic programmes
• Composition
• Whiteness balance

2. Photography techniques – activities in various outdoor locations:

• Nature
• Landscape
• Portrait

• Movement
• Macro
   

 Extra options:

• A photography course can also be in a form of a bike trip along the most attractive routes in the neighbourhood of Ostróda. Trips for 5 people may take place in more distant locations with free of charge transport.
• A two-hour evening course of creative photography in a form of time and light play. The participants will learn how to obtain panorama, HDR, movement, painting and artistic blurring of photos, as well as zoom effect. Classes for groups of max. 8 participants in the immediate vicinity of the Hotel. You must own a reflex camera. Min. number of participants: 2. Cost: 100 PLN/person

A 1,5-hour course of digital processing of photos.
Basic processing of jpg and raw photos. A multimedia presentation shows basic photo formats, programme types and photo processing, basic processing tools (contrast, whiteness balance, saturation, focus, vibration reduction, removal of vignettes and contamination, red eyes, cropping, special effects, simple multimedia presentations, etc.). Classes are conducted in groups of max. 8 participants in the Hotel’s conference room. We use a free Picasa programme. Min. number of participants: 2. Cost 90 PLN/person.
